IGNITE The Spark Within...

Next in the series of articles highlighting the members of the Caswell County Chamber of Commerce is an overview of the new business in town called Ignite Nutrition.  If you would like your organization to be highlighted in an article, please contact the Chamber of Commerce and you can be scheduled. A special thanks to The Caswell Messenger for their partnership in allowing our members share an overview of the unique organizations that make up Caswell County.

Mike and Tammy Miller have always wanted to be their own boss. Their new smoothie shop is located on Highway 86 between two other Chamber members, the Rio Grande Mexican Restaurant and Sista’s Touch Salon.  They were officially welcomed to the community on Saturday, August 15 at their Ribbon Cutting ceremony at their Grand Opening.  That Saturday, the shop saw a steady stream of patrons.  Many of the visitors were familiar with their offerings as they had visited Shamrock Nutrition in Mebane and others were there to indulge in the tasty cool offerings.  The staff all wore neon colored t-shirts with the positive message:  Ignite the Spark from Within’ on them and the atmosphere although socially distanced with masks during COVID was quite festive.

Susan Miller, is Mike and Tammy’s ‘coach’ in the business and is supporting them as they get their new enterprise up and running.  The shop offers a club-like atmosphere that is upbeat and positive.  When determining where to locate, the couple chose Caswell County.  They live in Alamance County and have several family members that have lived in Caswell County for years and felt an offering like this could succeed here. The shop serves smoothies and energy drink products and must follow very specific guidelines as part of a multi-level marketing organization.  Part of their business model is to recruit additional members to also offer these products and grow businesses of their own.

The couple hopes to engage with the community regularly as they grow.  They are hopeful once COVID-19 dissipates to get involved with the parks and recreation, schools and other community organizations to support the community.

Upcoming events include: Saturday, August 29. Opening at 8:00 am to host HIGH Fitness with Brook McPherson at 9 am. Saturday,  September 4th come by for Ignite Jeep Night from 5-7:00 pm.  The regular hours are Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm and Saturdays 10:00 – 2:00 pm.

To help promote the businesses and organizations of the area, the Caswell County Chamber of Commerce partners with The Caswell Messenger by submitting articles twice a month about MEMBER organizations. Any member is able to have an article, which they may approve before submitting and there is no cost for the service.  Organizations need only contact the Chamber and request to be scheduled to be a part of this program.
